Restore files or folders using File History
File history in the documents, music, pictures, video, and desktop files in the folder periodic backup versions of files on your PC and OneDrive available offline. Over time, you have a complete history of your document. If the document is missing, corrupted, or deleted, you can restore them. You can also browse and restore different versions of files. For example, if you want to restore an older version of a file (even if it has not been deleted or lost), you can browse through the timeline, select the version you want and restore it.
If you have not set up File History drive and open the file history, please refer to File History drive. For problem-solving, but it does not include folders and drives change and configuration information to see if there is any thing goes wrong in the file history?
To restore your files or folders
- Swipe from the right edge of the screen, click the search (or, if you’re using a mouse, point to the upper right corner of the screen, the mouse pointer down, and then click Search), enter restore your files search box, then click or click restore files using file history.
- Enter the name of the file you’re looking for in the search box, or use the left and right arrows in different versions of the folder and file browsing.
- Choose to return to the original position, and then tap or click the Restore button what Yes.
If you want to restore files to a different location than the original, press and hold or right-click the Restore button, click, or click Restore, and then select a new location.
