Learn how to add video to your Joomla article.

By default, the automatic weed out Joomla IFRAME and for security reasons some other HTML elements. In order from embedding popular providers such as YouTube and Vimeo video, you must disable the filter iframe tag. This tutorial explains how to do this as the default Joomla! TinyMCE editor.

TinyMCE editor settings.

From the top menu of your Joomla! Management, go to Extensions -> Plugin Manager. Find a plugin called editor, TinyMCE, click on it. When you set the page open and found box is called prohibited elements. You’ll see – scripts, applets, IFRAME – written inside the box. From this box, delete the iframe, so that the final text reads: scripts, applets.


The above settings, you should let your iframe embed video into your Joomla! Use the default TinyMCE editor’s article. If you continue to be unable to do this, please read on.

Edit Global Configuration Settings. 

The Joomla! You can also filter according to your user types iframe HTML tags. To check your user type settings, go to the top bar system, and then click Global Configuration. Navigate to the text filter label. You will see the type of filter lists and corresponding user group. Make sure that your user group is set to no filtering.


Embedding YouTube Videos

To embed a video on Joomla YouTube! Page, iframe you first need to get the embed code. In the video you want to embed, click Share, and then embedding and copy the code.


Then go and Joomla editor! You want to appear in the video article. In the editor, click on the source icon. In the Source box pops up, you want to appear in a video posted on the video embed code.


Finally, click OK, and then save your changes and your video should now be displayed on the page!
